Sunday Dinners: Celebrate That Special Day Without Breaking The Budget
Sunday Dinners is what I call the special meals we add to our weekly menu. In my house we have a nice meal every Sunday night. If we have a birthday, anniversary, graduation… happening during that week, we add a “Sunday Dinner” to celebrate. These meals include those extra special dishes appropriate to have on a special day. I include one once a week to help take the edge off of budget meals. That once-a-week special meal helps me stay the course on my grocery-savings plan. If we were to eat “beans & rice” (Dave Ramsey) day in and day out, we may get fed up with the whole plan and go back to our old ways. A weekly special meal helps avoid that. Now, I have to admit, I love a rib eye and will typically have one on my birthday. Rib eyes are definitely worthy of the special meal title, but for the purpose of this web site, I’m going to post some Sunday Dinners that pull off the special occasion without breaking the bank. Just because a meal is intended to be special doesn’t mean it has to be expensive. Keep checking back, I’ll be posting Sunday Dinner recipes from time to time.
